Our tastings take place in a charming, rustic setting on our estate, where understated luxury meets warm hospitality. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or discovering fine wine for the first time, every sip is an invitation to relax, savor, and connect.
We offer five distinctive ways to enjoy our award-winning wines:
Signature Wine Tasting – Enjoy a flight of five of our acclaimed wines in the rustic beauty of the Great Barn, Dance Hall, or Picnic Lawn. Reservations recommended.
Glass of Wine – Already know your favorite? Settle in with a glass and soak in the ambiance—perfect for a leisurely afternoon, celebration, or live music event. Walk-ins welcome - reservations highly recommended for Friday evenings.
Reserve Wine Tasting – Savor a curated flight of our reserve, small-lot, and library wines, often featuring a special barrel tasting. Reservations required.
Black Bicycle Farm Tasting – Discover our natural, orange, and other distinctive wines in this exclusive experience. Reservations required.
Events & Experiences – From relaxed Friday night music to harvest dinners and community celebrations, enjoy memorable gatherings that bring people together over exceptional wine.

Signature Wine Tasting
Experience a wine tasting like no other—a truly beautiful and memorable journey for your senses. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or a curious newcomer, all you need is a desire to savor exceptional wines.
Relax in our rustic tasting room or beautiful gardens while enjoying a flight of five of our finest Great Bear Vineyards wines. Our knowledgeable wine educators will pour your selections tableside, sharing the rich history of our winery and guiding you through the tasting experience. They’re happy to answer any questions about the wines or winemaking process, making your visit both enjoyable and informative.
After your tasting, feel free to linger and unwind in our serene surroundings. Select your favorite wine to enjoy by the glass or bottle, and complement your experience with a selection of snacks and cheeses available for purchase.

An Afternoon or Evening of Wine & Relaxation at Our Rustic Vineyard
Soak up the charm of our rustic winery and lush gardens while sipping exceptional estate wines. Whether you’re meeting friends, celebrating something special, or just unwinding after a long week — Great Bear Vineyards is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the moment.
Your ticket includes your first glass of wine, and after that, you’re welcome to:

No need for reservations — walk-ins are warmly welcome on most days!
However, on Friday evenings when we feature live music (6–7:30 PM) and a food truck (5 PM–close), we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as seating fills quickly.
If you’re planning to visit with a group of 5 or more, please email us in advance so we can reserve tables and make sure your experience is seamless.

An Exclusive Tasting of Our Finest Wines
Experience the best of Great Bear Vineyards with our Reserve Wine Tasting — an intimate exploration of our most exceptional wines, crafted with care and aged to perfection. This experience offers a rare opportunity to taste our award-winning reserve selections, including limited-production wines such as our Double Gold Medal Cabernet Sauvignon, Clone 6.
Your tasting includes five premium wines, thoughtfully guided by one of our owners, winemakers, or senior wine educators. Weather permitting, you’ll also enjoy a stroll through the vineyard, discovering the terroir and craftsmanship that make Great Bear wines truly special.
Reserve Tastings are arranged for special occasions throughout the year — check our Events page or website store for the next scheduled Reserve Wine Tasting.
If you’d like a more personal experience, we’re happy to host a private Reserve Tasting during our regular opening hours for groups of 4 or more. Email us to book your private tasting.

Natural Wine Tasting
Join us at Great Bear Vineyards for a journey into the world of Black Bicycle Farm’s Natural, Orange & Interesting Wines — an exploration of purity, creativity, and the character of the vineyard itself.
This guided tasting features five distinct natural wines, each crafted from organically grown grapes with minimal intervention to let nature express itself in every glass.
Savor the bold and structured Squiggle 2023, a golden “orange” wine made from white grapes fermented on their skins, offering layers of citrus and texture. Discover the beautifully perfumed Orange Tipple 2023, with elderflower on the nose and vibrant notes of apricot, honey, and orange.
Delve into the depth of Clash of the Titans 2022, a Cabernet Sauvignon–Zinfandel blend bursting with red and dark fruit harmony. Reflect on the story behind After the Fire 2020, a Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from grapes harvested during the 2020 wildfires — smoky, spicy, and unforgettable. Finish with the playful Carbo Cab 2019, a natural, unfiltered Cabernet featuring Bing cherry and candied strawberry, made using carbonic maceration for a lively twist.
Set in the rustic elegance of our winery, this tasting celebrates innovation, sustainability, and the art of natural winemaking.
We host Natural Wine Tastings on select special weekends such as Earth Day, our Vegan Cooking Weekend, and other seasonal celebrations. Upcoming opportunities will be announced on our Events page with tickets available in our website store — or if you’re keen to try our natural wines, email us to arrange a private tasting for groups of six or more.
